Thyroid Studies Collaboration (TSC)

The TSC is a collaborative project that seeks to pool data from existing longitudinal studies with information on the thyroid status. In 2007, the collaboration was formed to clarify the risk of subclinicial thyroid dysfunction. Papers from the project have been published in international peer reviewed journals.

The main research themes of the TSC are:

  • Risk of outcomes related to thyroid dysfunction
  • Risk factors for thyroid dysfunction
The TSC database now has pooled data on over 148,000 participants from 29 separate cohort studies in, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Belgium, The Netherlands, Italy, Australia, Brazil, Iran, Spain, Japan, Korea, the United Kingdom, and the USA
